As barmy as this might sound if he got agreement from the NRL to do this the only thing stopping this would be money. If he wants to throw enough cash at this do you really think that there would be a shortage of players who would jump at the chance and who could be bought from their present clubs? He could probably buy 80% of the current England squad.

If he has £100 million to drop into this what is to stop him achieving it?

That's my biggest worry, when he does walk away ( and he will) hat happens to Salford?



IMO he bought the wrong club, he should have gone for a club that has bigger fan base, the money and ambition he has for Salford doesn't reflect the clubs fans.

I don't mind him staying in the game if he keeps his mouth shut and keeps his hair-brained schemes to himself, until he's done all the necessary research to see if it's viable!

As if the Aussies would come over every week to play his team! Isn't it at our cost of £170k to bring Souths over for the WCC so your looking at it costing every NRL team that price to come over and play in front of a few thousands.



And to play it in Vegas or Dubai is even more crazy. Nobody would go so it's in front small crowd in crazy temperature.

I think his mouth tries to Cash cheques his "massive" bank balance cant match.



He only seems interested in stuff he cant actually have, he was interested in buying Oldham athletic when they were not for sale, yet now they are for sale he is no longer interested.



He wanted to buy an NRL club when none were available but when Wests were keen on him getting involved he declined their offer.



he most probably wants this England NRL franchise because Salford would then no longer be the worst supported club in the world.......

I think this is a fantastic thought....... why is everyone in rugby league so cynical and not open minded...... I bet when European Football / Rugby was though of it was laughed at, look at it now.....



This seems like a 21st century idea.............. If America gets behind anything, it goes big!



If you get an Airline to sponsor you, then this means all free flights!!! Seems like a legitimate plan and well though out.



You could cherry pick all the best players from Super League clubs (2 from each team making 24 man squad with 2 Championship players). You could also do a minimum of:
