There is a thread on Redvee titled state of the game and a poster on there quotes a tweet from Steve Mascord saying the NRL will have nothing to do with us while Wood is involved. It then goes on to mention this is why Beaumont and McManus want Wood in because they don’t have the cash to compete with what the NRL want to do with the sport here.
Another interesting thing is did anyone pick up on what Carney was saying about the sport before kick off that bigger things are about to happen in the next few weeks than when we went to Summer rugby.

Game was over and a Leeds player was talking with Smith and Nsemba, Newman as walked from 20yds away and patted Smith on the head, not sure if he said something aswell but Smith took exception to it the hand bags flew out. Honestly there was no reason for Newman to do that.
