The Widnes fans are not too confident now that their squad has been announced.

Could be an interesting couple of weeks for us, who says the super 8 s are pointless, I quite like it!

Indeed. We've run both SL outfits to date close....and with a little more composure and a rub of the Green could have won both. I'll take 4/1 against a side that are arguably worse than wire and the dragons.

My point is that 4/1 looks a great bet. Especially considering Widnes lengthy injury list.

1/2 them and 2/1 us would be a more accurate reflection on the odds in my opinion.

Cup rugby this one, can't fall short like we did in 3 of our previous 4 games. We need to play a sound 80 both in attack and defence, stay composed, hit hard, not give stupid penalties away and see what comes out of the other end. Composure

Hendo's pre-game talk needs to contain following points.



1) Complete Sets

2) No Silly Penalites

3) Do not kick out restarts on the full

4) Make sure an Penalties make touch

5) Take all points on offer, it will be a close game to I would take 2 points if we are in kickable distance

6) Dont try and score every ptb.



If we do the basics correct (which has cost us 5 points in the super 8's), we will win this

I think 1 and 2 are the important ones.

Keep hold of the ball for the set, our completion rate over the season has to be 50% or less.

I wouldn't disagree with any of the above, but would add CONCENTRATE FOR 80MINS, don't go to sleep for 10-15 minutes and lose the game. In all our play off games we have had poor 10-15 mins, first half against Catalan/HKR, end of first half start of second Wire. we left ourselves with too much to do. Throughout the season it has been the same. the commentary on Radio Leeds on the Fax game was interesting (I could not get to game) they made the point that London were capable of running in lots of points when on a roll, but that the reverse was also true, that we tended to concede in clutches.



We are capable of winning this, but we need to be completely professional (penalties, ptb etc) and focused (80 minutes all at the same level...)

Think the players are aware that the lapses in concentration are what costs us, battye talks about it on the club web site. It's how games tend to go with the ascendancy swinging in 15 20 min patches, it's how you deal with that 20 mins when the opposition are on the up!

Mr Betts is entitled to his opinion. We shall find out however tomorrow, how good a team Widnes Vikings are.

That sums the season up 5 mins to go in HKR game and we were in with a automatic promotion with 2 wins.

Give em free mtrs they are goingb to score points, of course non em should have been given it's all the home crowds fault for bullying the ref. That or we are on the back foot and deserve em.
