In all fairness I think Briscoe has been brought in too early in his career and he is not yet ready for SL rugby.
The fact that Agar has had to bring Riley in tends to suggest Agar possibly now feels the same.
I have said it before, it was suggested we had the pick of Leeds reserves as loan players. I can't understand
why Briscoe was chosen over Duckworth who would have been a better prospect for our situation. |

For all we know Leeds could of gave us a list of players they are happy to loan to us and Duckworth wasn't one of them. |

For me he was one off the only players that showed interest in the Fev freindly - Thought his attack looked promising, And his defence looked solid.
Your opinion of him been a "Liability" Comes from watching a freindly and 1 league game in a unsettled squad that had played a couple of games together. |

That wasn't the point of my reply, the question was more why single out one player with an overwhelmingly damming comment - no need for it with young players ?(and i've done it myself and regretted it in the past) but NGB4C has form, why be fair - he isn't. |

You're right about NGB4C he certainly knows how to bag a player. Then again when he likes
one he certainly lets us know. Way Frankie is going over at Cas I'm surprised he's not banging
on about what a massive mistake the club have made  |

The point is not that the 2nd string is a great team - its to point out that even at the bare bones we could compete against most other SL teams who are also down to the bare bones - including Leeds - all things are relative.
This means as far as my RL logic takes me that during the AVERAGE ups and downs of a season we now hopefully have enough quality to plug the gaps as and when they appear - which may be the difference between safety or relegation to 8th or 9th spot.
The last time we had a similar amount of cover was 2008/2009 when we manage a CCup semi and a top 8.'"
Who's come through the Leeds academy? You've got Minns, Duckworth, Briscoe, Sutcliffe all playing their trade at other super league clubs. You've got Watkins, Hardaker and Ben Jones-Bishop who are arguably world class. Who have we produced in the last 5 seasons anywhere near being akin to that? I can't think of any. Our back-up is alright but it's not because of the youngsters we produce. The fact we have young players that have played more Super League games, in my opinion, shows how short we have been previously because they wouldn't get many gigs anywhere else in the league. |

Hardaker is a Fev product as every body seems to forget. |
