The whole idea of a rumours thread is to keep all the unfounded speculation and made up cack in one place. If every person that heard a new rumour (or, as in this case, an old rumour) started a new thread, the board would be swamped. It's quite obvious when you think about it.

But there is a rumours thread, for, believe it or not, rumours (putting FACT after a post does not change that it's a rumour), so that's where they go.



The OP can put his post there, but other members have the right to shoot it down. That's what happens.
