| Quote RockNRolla="RockNRolla"Sam Royle, Luis Johnson and Harvey Livett all second rowers still without a club. '
Royle seems a really good professional who captained Saints Scholarship, academy and reserves.
Just seen that Holmes is having a knee clear out so hopefully we can get someone in quickly.'"
I like the Royle option I must admit, I mean yeah obviously we would want a hard hitting, tackle busting 2nd rower (Willie Manu syle) but very few and far between of those so yeah Royle or Livett for me good options. Johnson doesn't interest me at all. Centre wise do you think we could make a play even just short term for either Connor Wrench or Zak Eckersley?

Wrench is injured and Eckersley is right on the fringe of first team, do doubt they let him go.
I'd bring in Eseh on loan, short term deal fir Livitt or Royle and an overseas centre.
Possible look at Perham we looked at him before, hadn't made the Broncos top 30, can play any position in the backs and has real speed about him.

He scored a good try other week, looks really fit to be fair. We’d soon sort that out

| Only quota prop I'd take would be Amone, as he would make a huge difference, can't see the Bulldogs letting him go before the season has even started.

He's played 2nd row and loose forward in Canberra. Cant see him coming to us but if we throw enough money at him and his gametime reduces in NRL then who knows

| While Knight signing solves a problem and strengthens the prop position, we still need to address two bigger issues and the fact we have to move Chamberlain and Fash out of the and backrow position, I suppose signing a would maybe solve both, but not easy.

| A few decent British centres who are off contract floating around. Sam Halsall, Deon Cross, Toby King, Connor Wrench.

Ollie Pratt at wakey looks a good player. Still raw but huge potential. Would be a good pick up Also, at Bradford scurr looks a huge unit. Rave reviews for him in the championship, could be worth a shout.AJ Wallace doesn't seem to get a look in at KR either, another unit.Thoughts?

If memory serves me correctly weren't we close to signing Scurr a couple of seasons ago? I believe we also took a look at AJ Wallace too prior to him signing for KR.Ollie Pratt looks very promising but can't see him leaving Wakey now they have new ownership unless it's to a club like Wigan or St's etc.

That's the problem Chris, no one has to sell players. From Windass list, all of them would be worth a look.On another note, has this site updated, really don't like this new version (on my phone anyway)

Dave K.: That's the problem Chris, no one has to sell players. From Windass list, all of them would be worth a look.On another note, has this site updated, really don't like this new version (on my phone anyway) Agree Dave and that's added to our problem of recruitment when you're in need of an almost full squad overhaul, not so bad if you only need 1 or 2 players but in our situation it just makes it a more difficult task.In regards to the site, yes it has "After twenty-five years of service, the old site expired over the last few days. To maintain service we have had no option but to make an early switch to the new site which was in development/testing. Some elements of the new site are unfinished, such as; page numbering and quotations. We will fix these minor issues as soon as we can, please bear with us"
As they say please bear with them while they make the fixes which they're doing ASAP, it may have a few glitches currently but at least we still have a forum to use.

I'm not seeing the point in Ashworth right now. He's on the field less than Trueman was. I hear criticism towards Fash. But at least he's out there having a go. Where is Ashworth? Sleeping on the physio's bench.Swap deal for him would suit me.

Think that is a bit harsh, at least see how he goes this year, can't really do anything about a head knock which is why he didn't play last week.

Don't agree on Ashworth, been very good when he played, it's ok saying get rid and replace, but thats Sao Staveley Lane to replace with only one quota spot You add in Ashworth Plus probably the need for a halfback and a .Do you think we could sign 4 good good SL domestic forwards, or three if we use our last quota spot (which I'd rather use for a half or centre) For all our good young players, they seem to be in the backs and have yet to see one ready to play in the pack.

For me know we need 5 players for next year A prop (Sao) 2 backrowers (Staveley, Lane) a Halfback (Abdul) Centre (Briscoe) If we could get Satae, Pryce, Batchelor (saw his name mentioned yesterday), Cross/Wrench/Halsall/Wood and an overseas backrower.Would the salary cap stretch to that? I heard we had 270k left before Staveley went, add in Sao, Lane and Briscoe. That's probably over 500k. Could have one of those (UK players) on a marquee contract too.

Hopefully JC is just being polite about Sao. We should not be keeping him, been poor/ill disciplined for 2 seasons and now injured for a 3rd season. Needed a good season to be considering a deal. Let him go, let someone else take the risk and get fresh faces in.
